Arkady Gregorvich Rossovich, aka Omega Red, was a former soldier and convicted serial killer from the former USSR, before becoming part of a Soviet super soldier project that turned him into a cyborg with retractable tentacles implanted in his arms, which were made of radioactive carbon dioxide and are capable of draining the life force from his victims. Though these implanted tentacles make for powerful weapons, they are also slowly poisoning Arkady, forcing him to regularly drain the vital energy from his victims to temporarily sustain him, making this vampiric tendency essential for his survival.
