Some wannabe golfers were inspired to pick up a club by legends like Tiger Woods and Jack Nicklaus, whereas others like myself were inspired by the antics of the Subway-sponsored hockey reject in Adam Sandler’s 1996 hit comedy, Happy Gilmore.

The film follows the story of Happy Gilmore, a down-on-his-luck, bad-tempered larrikin who after learning he can drive a golf ball extremely far, takes up golf in order to help pay off his grandma’s tax debts.
