In Disney’s 1959 film, Princess Aurora is cursed by Maleficent to die on her sixteenth birthday by pricking her finger on the spindle of a spinning wheel. Three kind fairies, Flora, Fauna and Merryweather, manage to lift the curse’s power to an endless sleep. Still, the King and Queen fear for their daughter’s life, and task the fairies with protecting Aurora deep in the forest to nullify the curse.

On the front, an applique castle rises up over the top. The Three Good Fairies, Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather, fly above. Each one is featured in a 3D circular zipped pocket, covered in clear PVC material for an extra-magical appearance. On the side pockets, trumpeters from the court herald the festive occasion of Aurora’s birth. These pockets feature special “stained-glass” printed artwork, reminiscent of the opening pages from the book in Disney’s Sleeping Beauty.
