Pinocchio, a puppet made of pine, is brought to life when a kindly woodworker, Geppetto, wishes upon a falling star. New and naive to the world, Pinocchio is led astray from school by seemingly trustworthy characters. When he fails to return home, Geppetto searches for him and ends up in the belly of a whale. Upon learning this awful news, Pinocchio fearlessly makes his way to the bottom of the ocean to save his father. All seems lost when the whale swallows him too, until Pinocchio burns furniture on Geppetto’s ship. The smoke makes Monstro sneeze them out and a heart-stopping chase ensues when the great beast notices them making their escape.

On the front, Pinocchio and Geppetto are escaping the jaws of Monstro. Custom-shaped applique makes them appear as if they’re on the cusp of the beast’s wrath! Monstro’s great teeth frame the scene.
