Cobi: Historical Collection - Steam Locomotive DR BR 03 & Water Crane 1/35 Scale Construction Set (2721 Pieces)

The COBI "Trains" collection expands with the stunning BR03 Steam Locomotive: Executive Edition, a 1:35 scale model built from 2,721 blocks. Based on the powerful BR03 273, this express steam engine once hauled heavy passenger trains at speeds of up to 120 km/h, and now arrives in brick form with premium features for collectors and railway enthusiasts alike.

Measuring nearly 70 cm in length, the locomotive boasts large express wheels and a highly detailed structure, from its truss-linked drive system and rotating gears to the opening smoke box and realistic driver's cab with throttle and firebox. Its tender includes a removable coal load, just like the real one which carried 10 tons of coal and 32 cubic metres of water. The build features printed Deutsche Reichsbahn markings and technical tables, with no stickers used anywhere.

This Executive Edition includes three exclusive figures: a classic-uniformed driver, a red-capped stationmaster, and a stoker with shovel in hand. A water crane accessory is also included, used historically to refill steam engines at stations. The set is completed with a block-built display base featuring an embankment and set nameplate.

Originally produced between 1930 and 1938 by Borsig, Krupp, Henschel and Schwartzkopff, 298 Class 03 locomotives were used for luxury express services and later saw service across post-war Europe, including West Germany, East Germany and Poland.
